About Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a French novelist, poet, journalist and pilot. He wrote several novels, many of which were autobiographical, as well as the story for which he is best known, The Little Prince. He also had a pioneering role in the development of international postal flight thanks to his work for the French organisation Aéropostale. His aviation work took him to many different countries, including Morocco and Argentina. He vanished in 1944, when his plane disappeared during a reconnaissance mission off the coast of Corsica during the Second World War.
