About Romain Puértolas
Romain Puértolas was born in Montpellier in 1975, and has lived in France, Spain and England. He has had an exceptionally varied career, working as a DJ, language teacher, translator, interpreter and police officer before deciding to focus on writing full-time following the success of his first novel, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, in 2013.
